About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager who will help Openprovider achieve its 10-year target by growing our core domain business.

Team setup

Product Team is a part of the Operations department at Openprovider. There are currently 3 Product Managers reporting to the Head of Product.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct market and customer research. Continuously monitor the domain industry to follow trends and identify new opportunities.

  • Own and develop the vision and roadmap for the domain business and for new registry accreditations.

  • Manage relationships and communications with registries.

  • Attend industry events several times per year (ICANN, major suppliers, etc.).

  • Represent Openprovider at registrar advisory boards, ICANN’s Registrar Stakeholder Group, and other industry organizations.

  • Lead product discovery activities.

  • Coordinate domain-specific requirements and dependencies with the RCP platform team.

  • Perform the role of Product Owner in the corresponding Scrum team.

  • Drive and coordinate domain consolidation projects.

  • Manage prices and promotions and ensure portfolio accuracy by performing regular price and domain cross-checks.

  • Maintain the free DNS service.

  • Monitor and reduce domain abuse.

Job requirements


  • Previous experience in the domain industry is a must.

  • At least 5 years of previous experience as a Product Manager working in an Agile environment and using Lean techniques.

  • Great communication skills in English. Other languages like Russian, Spanish, Dutch or German will be an advantage.

  • Internal and external stakeholder management.

  • Market and customer research.

  • Good understanding of the product discovery process, tools, and techniques.

  • Experienced in writing clear and concise Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and in communicating effectively with engineering and design teams.

  • Data-driven, with a good understanding of data analytics and data visualization tools and frameworks.

  • Technical knowledge of DNS.
