We are hiring a Chief Finance Manager who will be a part of the Leadership team and will play a key role in our further growth.

We are an international company of almost 70 people (and we will grow more in the coming years, to approximately 100) spread out across several countries: Spain, Russia, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, India, and Indonesia. The above locations are based on where our current employees are based and we can add new ones if needed.

Briefly about our history

Initially, our CEO Arno Vis owned a hosting provider business (HOSTING CONCEPTS BV) which experienced great vertical growth and led to the birth of a new company: Openprovider.

Back then, the landscape was quite different and there was hardly any competition, so the main existing wholesalers monopolized the market and greatly overcharged their customers for their new domains.

Over 20 years as an entrepreneur had given Arno enough experience to know that he didn’t want to play that game, so he didn’t. Clients should be at the core of any business and are the reason we manage to exist. Arno broke the mold and decided to drastically reduce the net profit that he could get, in order to build long-lasting relationships with his clients. That’s what Openprovider is all about, growing with our clients, from the present and into the future.

We are very proud of all the milestones we’ve accomplished over the past 16 years. We have come a long way and now our goal is to be the go-to wholesaler for the main distributors of the internet industry!

Current situation and challenges

We grow yearly by 20% and now we are ready to take on the next step: to achieve exponential growth. 

As a result of our success, we are growing year on year. In order to keep facilitating this growth, we started implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). This methodology focuses on 6 main pillars, clear vision, right people in the right seat, correct data, processes, issues & traction. One of the outcomes during this implementation is that we need to bring our finance department to the next stage. In the last few years, this department has made a big step in the fundamental areas but it is now time that Finance takes its position in the journey of our growth ambition. Advising in free cash flow & gross margin improvements, pave the way for external financing options and challenge the business on strategic decisions at hand.


Role description

We are looking for a strong & experienced Chief Financial Manager who sees the challenge in helping our company in the financial part of our transformation. The mission of this role is to establish a world-class Finance & Legal department in order to support Openprovider's growth ambition to become one of the top 3 players in the world in its industry.

You will start with a small international finance team of three people reporting to you, supported by external finance- & legal advisors & automation. So besides being at ease with strategic subjects, you will need to be hands-on as well. As the company grows the finance & legal team will grow accordingly in the areas you see fit.


Responsibilities

Besides the standard financial responsibilities within a medium-sized but fast-growing company you have the following specific responsibilities:

  • Be a sparring partner & advisor for Managing Director/ Leadership Team & Owner;

  • Manage a cross-border financial team;

  • Automate as much as possible within the financial department;

  • Drive the decision making on business cases and investments based on the ROI, Cash Flow, and EBITDA targets;

  • Support Managing Director and CEO to limit and assess business risks and financial risks;

  • Build an optimal cash management process and structure to support business developments;

  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions. employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job result;

  • Maintain our terms and conditions and prepare contracts for projects and employees;

  • Drive ISO27001 and other relevant ISO and/or other certifications;

  • Setting up and maintaining legal entities abroad;

  • Legal advisory on Deals and Disputes;

  • Assure compliance related to GDPR, Contracts, T&C;

  • Owner of fraud & chargeback related matters;

  • All related topics with regards to insurance.

Job requirements

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance;

  • Experience as a Chief Financial Manager in a Dutch company;

  • Relevant experience in multinational businesses;

  • Proven success cases with company risk management;

  • Experienced with different financing structures & cash management;

  • Financial control and business control knowledge and experience in applying it in the business;

  • Excellent speaking and writing in English.
